Today we’re thrilled to announce that Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) has led our Series A funding.
Since we first met Mike Droesch, Bob Goodman and read Bessemer’s 8 Laws of Developer Platforms, we knew their understanding of developer centric businesses, combined with their history of investing in great companies like Twilio, PagerDuty, NPM, HashiCorp, and SendGrid demonstrated they were the right partner for Cypress.
We’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming Mike Droesch (BVP) and Jason Warner (SVP of Engineering at Github) to our Board of Directors. Adam Gross (former CEO of Heroku) has also joined as an investor and advisor.
This financing is a huge milestone for our team, users, and customers - so I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on Cypress and our plans for the future.
Momentum
Since our last seed financing, we have seen amazing growth and adoption by developers and QA engineers worldwide. In the last 12 months, users from 90 different countries have downloaded Cypress over 15 million times and recorded more than 140 million tests to our Dashboard. Companies of all sizes and industries have adopted Cypress to help build better software faster. Examples include great companies like Slack, Netflix, SendGrid, GitHub, FanDuel, Lego, SaltStack, and GoDaddy.
What's Next
As always, we’re busy continuing to innovate and ship new features. The top priorities on our roadmap include cross-browser testing, test analytics, code coverage, component testing, enhanced errors, built-in test retries, Github integration, and more.

As we continue to grow - we’re hiring, especially in engineering, but also in every area of the company. You’d be joining a team and community of experts leading the industry in JavaScript, automation, testing, big data, and cloud.
