What motivates you to be a Cypress Ambassador?
I love using Cypress for automation, it was the very first testing tool I ever worked with. Becoming a Cypress Ambassador is a significant milestone in my career, and I’m truly proud of this achievement.
How do you currently help others that are either using Cypress or interested in using Cypress?
I create content on LinkedIn and YouTube, sharing Cypress tips, tutorials, and best practices to help others learn and grow in test automation.
What is your favorite Cypress feature?
Cy.prompt. It lets you write tests in natural language, describe a step like "click the login button" and it generates the actual Cypress command for you, which opens test creation up to anyone who can describe a flow in words, not just people writing selectors.
What is your favorite "Cypress Best Practice" and why?
Custom commands. They’re so useful. They're the right call whenever you need behavior that should hold across all your tests: they're specific to your application, usable everywhere, and change in one place.
Outside of work, what are your favorite things to do (hobbies, passions, etc.)?
I do martial arts. I’m a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and a yellow belt in kickboxing. I hope to fight mixed martial arts (MMA) one day.
What is one professional milestone you are proud of?
Becoming a Senior QA Engineer and a creator of Cypress content.
For new users - what is the best way to "get started" with Cypress?
Pick an open-source project and dive in, start testing and automating it. Practice is the best way to begin.
