What motivates you to be a Cypress Ambassador?
I'm passionate about test automation and knowledge sharing. As a QA Lead, I've seen how Cypress simplifies testing and solves pain points efficiently. Over time, it has transformed my approach to automation, and I want to contribute back—helping teams adopt best practices, empowering QA engineers, and sharing knowledge globally to make test automation easier for everyone.
How do you currently help others that are either using Cypress or interested in using Cypress?
I actively mentor developers through 1:1 review sessions, helping them learn Cypress best practices, including test automation, and scalable test design. I have also published organization-level documentation to guide teams on writing and refactoring tests efficiently.
For newcomers, I encourage them to explore the official Cypress docs, start with basic test writing, and learn from the existing codebase. I provide hands-on guidance for a few days until they gain confidence. Additionally, I contribute to open-source projects, participate in community discussions, and assist teams in transitioning to Cypress for efficient e2e testing.
What is your favorite Cypress feature?
What is your favorite "Cypress Best Practice" and why?
Centralizing modifications in one place because it simplifies form filling, and improves test readability, and prevents code duplication. It also enhances team collaboration and makes debugging more efficient. This structure supports a scalable future, ensuring that tests remain reliable and adaptable as the codebase evolves.
Outside of work, what are your favorite things to do (hobbies, passions, etc.)?
Writing Cypress tests has become more than just work for me—it feels like a hobby, giving me joy when I see instant results from well-structured automation.
Beyond coding, I’m a passionate solo traveler and backpacker, exploring cultures and cuisines across 15+ countries internationally, along with extensive domestic travel. I also enjoy photography, hiking, and attending events, which help me stay connected with nature, networking, and personal growth.
What is one professional milestone you are proud of? (an accomplishment, celebration, recognition, etc.)
One professional milestone I’m proud of is being a core team member and code maintainer for the Open Healthcare Network, where I contributed to building CARE, an HMIS system recognized as the 50th Digital Public Good (DPG) by the UN. This software has been deployed in 200+ government hospitals across 10 states, improving healthcare access for millions. Being recognized for my contributions to open-source healthcare solutions is a highlight of my career.
